Galerie Marzee in the Netherlands is the largest gallery for contemporary jewellery in the world. We were commissioned by Fife Contemporary Arts & Craft to photograph unique pieces of jewellery from the gallery’s collection for a special exhibition taking place in St Andrews. The jewellery was modelled by twelve eminent Fifers in a series of double portraits. The stylised images were printed onto a matt surface paper which gave them an almost painterly quality. Marie – Jose van der Hout, the gallery owner, was so pleased with the photographs she has now used them to compliment additional exhibitions in the Netherlands.
